Feb 25 - Shipment Arrived

Jason sent a bunch of stuff back to Canada via shipping crates.  The company quoted us a door to door price of ~75,000ntd (2500 CND - WOW... That's more than I had done in my mental calculations!!!).  They came to our house, packed everything up and took it to Keelung harbour.  They they called and said that the price was ~125,000ntd (4200CND - Again, ouch.  Thank you internet money converter).  With our things in their possession, we could only agree.
Upon arriving in Vancouver, we had to pay an additional $150.  Hmmmm, shouldn't that have been included in the door to door price since it was the same company?
And upon arriving in Saskatoon, we had to pay the transport company almost $90 to release it.
Uncle Schubie helped us out with his little trailer.  The guy in the transport company's bay didn't think it was going to fit, but we had already told Uncle Schubie the sizes and he had it all worked out.  The guy followed his instructions as to how to place it on the trailer and was shocked when it did fit.

It weighed a lot more than what they had told us.  I suspect they gave us an estimate based on the size of an average crate, but there are a lot of ESL books in there (which I am very excited to crack open and use for my current position!!!).
Uncle Schubie said, "I now understand how it feels to be a menace on the road."  We had to travel no more than 50 kph. And we stopped a few times to check on the tire temperature.  Those tires were something flat.
But we made it and now the crates are being stored in Uncle Schubie's quonset.
