Jamaica 5th Day

Tubing in the Jungle Tour
So we went tubing. They took us through an orange tree orchard. We all sampled the fresh, juicy oranges.

We all sat in our own tubes tied to one another and then one guide had a kayak tied to the tubes and the other guide circled us in his kayak. We stopped at a waterfall.

And Cheryl and Mike were brave enough to jump from the rope. Then when we finished, they loaded us all on the truck and our two guides and the two from the kayaking tour all hung on to the back. They were soooooo much fun... so amusing.

Hee hee hee.... Jerk is a spice they use on all their meats in Jamaica.

Dinner later that evening. They posed like this after I told them how Josie does the "flower pose."

Jamaica 4th day

So as guests of Sandals we could go to any Beaches or Sandals resort with the same privileges. So we made our way across the beach and too Beaches Sandy Bay. From there we took a shuttle to Beaches Negril. We had lunch there and then the staff there lined us up with a taxi driver who took us shopping. This was a little market we went too. So many shops with the same product in it. It felt a little sad that they had to fight so hard for business.

Then in the evening we all went to Cheryl and Mike's sweet suite to finish off the wedding cake. They got an upgraded suite with a BUTLER because someone screwed up royally when they made the reservations.

It was on two floors.

Card Opening later in the evening. And I must say, Mr. and Mrs. Garraway's card to Mike and Cheryl REALLY opened... or exploded! It was quite cool.
The claw will get you.
So at the beach party, this one resort employee was really hyper with something that had just happened. She figured out that Shannon, in the picture above, was a Marsh. So she told her, "I just met your Daddy." Shannon was naturally shocked as her father was still in America. So once the employee figured it out she had to search out dad and tell him what had just happened. It was so funny. She affectionately became known as "the other sister" for the remainder of the trip. lol
Dad: I saw your sister earlier.
Me: So how's Cheryl doing.
Dad: No, Shannon...
It was really quite funny. There are so few Marshes in the world.
And.... Apparently her father looks like my father... From the Halloween photo they had of her father, it appears that we could possibly be long lost relatives. Hmmm... who has that family tree?

Jamaica Second Day

The resortThe little friends who sat on the rail and watched everyone eat. They waited until everyone left and then they would clean up the plates. I saw one man put his food down and then go back to the breakfast buffet to get a drink. The birds jumped on his table and ate from his plate. I told him what they had done and he still ate the food off his plate. I was grossed right out.Dad with his Jamaican Bobsled Team hat.

Beach Party

Mom likes rum punch. And so they picked out the girls and made them come to the front to learn a Jamaican dance. Mom, Auntie Joan and I got chosen. Then it was time for our significant others to go to the front. Yay me. I was able to sit down for this part; however, Dad and Uncle Stan had to go up.
As an adult only resort, well, let's just say they had to dance too. There was all sorts of hip action going on there. I will try to post the video to facebook later. That should limit my father's humiliation...
So then they had to do a sexy dance... You can imagine how sexy my father got as he unbuttoned his shirt for it.
And then the flame throwing began.

Jamaica First Day

I stayed overnight in a hotel in Tokyo. I thought it was funny to see a pillow selection card. It explains which pillows will meet your needs.
The woman is not Chicken. She is just someone who took our bags to Chicken. We knew we would have to tip her. It states that on all the websites. It was just odd (and actually helpful) when she announced that this was the part where we tip her.

The Wedding

As Cheryl arrived they shared a joke.

Perhaps not the best picture, but the thumbnails were so small....
The sand from two vases joined together in one to symbolize the joining of two in marriage.
Signing the marriage certificate.
Cutting the cake.
Kissy, kissy.
Napkin
Photos that we were not allowed to watch. I just happened to sneak a picture or 100....
