Jevin's Art Work

Josie has all her art showing on the blog so I thought it was Jevin's turn now.

First we have a fluffy sheep....

Next, a worksheet of sorts.  What was he doing?  Things with four legs?  No... Things you don't want in your house?  No... the rat would be in that too.  Icky things that my dog tries to eat or had eaten in the past?  BINGO... Oh, or perhaps it would be things that are green...

Wow, they actually let him use paint... I haven't been that brave yet.  Perhaps when it is cool enough to do it outside.

Jevin's last chance at modeling

They needed a sippy cup picture... just one picture.  Jevin was a superstar.  He was like, "Hey, water?  Sure, give me so water."

The Funeral Weekend

There is probably some big taboo about taking pictures of funerals... but when had that stopped me.  This is the view from our front window.  The funeral was so large that the funeral tent blocked us in.  There was a small opening to the left where our scooters barely fit through.

We feel sad for the family's loss.  Their mother was a very friendly person.  Josie remembers her as the grandmother that always said hi to us.

Grade 1

Some quick images of Josie's school life.  Uniforms, art projects, family picture.....

Josie's First Day of School

Josie getting ready for her big day. We were in a hurry. She ate very slowly and got it all over her face... so she needed to wash her face... so she got water all over her shirt.
The teacher just had the kids read books while she organized things.
Josie talking with her new classmate

While Josie was settling in the rest of the grades were having their morning assembly.

So.. Let's see how good my chinese is.... Or rather phonics decoding skills...
Kan Shoo. Ching An Geen. Shiao Pun Yo Zao An.
Read books. Please Be quiet. Children Good morning.
Sorting the boys by height to give them their class ID numbers.
Sorting the girls by height to give them their ID numbers. Ack... Josie is second shortest... I really thought she would be somewhere in the middle.

Cruise - Day 2 (part 1?)

On the second day of the cruise we docked in Pung-hu. Rather than taking a bus tour of the island, we chose to rent scooters and guide ourselves. We found so many things and had a great time cruising. Here we saw them drying fish right on the dock.
We saw a nice looking temple and stopped to take a look.

We even found wind turbines on a small path.

This is the entrance to the longest sea bridge in south east Asia...
Owls I found...
A sea urchin..... Oh, the lady really wanted to cook it up for us. We had to convince her that we were just looking and had already eaten.

Jevin ASLEEP on the scooter.
Our surprise when we arrived back in the room. Wow, was it ever hard to keep Jevin from destroying the elephant before I took a picture.

The magician on the ship had a show where he was locked in a 100 pound chain and dropped to the bottom of the swimming pool. Jason was one of the guys that got to check the locks.
