Tiger's Birthday and Thanksgiving

We were supposed to go to the beach to celebrate Tiger's birthday. Plans fell through but we still had the chance to celebrate.
Since we were staying in, we had a nice chicken dinner. We saw the whole turkeys in costco last night, but felt our oven was just too small to use. We downgraded to a whole chicken.
Much to my shock, the head (with comb and eyes) and the feet were still attached.
Jason said that Tiger would love to eat the chicken feet, so I threw them in the pan with the chicken.
They were from the wrong kind of chicken and prepared differently than at the night market, but Tiger was a trooper. He powered his way through both chicken feet.
I had no idea that chickens had toe nails. (insert grossed-out shiver here)

Mango Cheesecake for the birthday cake... Truly evil.... Oh, but sooooooo delicious!
We didn't have a candle for him so Jason used a lighter (but not before burning himself - giggle).
Later we went outside to blow bubbles. Josie got a few laps in on the bike.
We decided to try Jevin on Josie's first bike. He loved to be pushed around.
And the neighbors were having fun pushing him too.

However, all things must come to an end. And when the pushing stopped, the crying started.
Josie's pose for the camera.
And the clean up...

This and That

Just a picture of the two of them watching TV together.
And the soon to be lost - FIRST TOOTH - yeah!!!
Josie is terrified. She will wiggle it but won't let us touch it. It is at the point where we could just pull it out for her, but she still refuses.

The "Shoes"

Jevin's newest obsession is Josie's shoes! Especially her high heels. He can't get enough of them. He loves them. This was the best picture I could get with him in them.

Moon Festival Firework Fun

"RUN FOR YOUR LIVES!!! HE'S PLAYING WITH FIRE!!! MOMMY, SAVE ME!!!!!"
We went up on the third floor balcony and lit a few firecrackers... and fireworks.
The echos were terribly loud.
We bought Josie some sparkler sticks. She had a lot of fun with those....

And of course, Daddy had fun with these...
I, on the other had, held the baby and hid inside around the corner and just stuck my hand out to take pictures.

Moon Festival BBQ

For Moon Festival, Selena from Kuku invited us to her companies BBQ. As we arrived employees were like, "Hey, he's the model!" Haha... yes, the company that the kids modeled products and clothes for.
Jevin quickly found the toy box. I mean the beer boxes. They had some containers filled with ice and beer.
Note how his pants are droopy... Yeah, he stepped in. After playing for a LONG time there, moving beers from container to container and back again, I made a joke, "Jevin want a bath?" He nodded yes and proceeded to step in the box. I caught him, but not in time. His left leg was soaked.
That was a good accident though. The weight of the water pulled his pants down so he couldn't raise his legs high enough to step in again. hahaha
His Montessori practice above.
Cans in. Cans out. Cans up. Cans drop. Tactile learning...
Partner in crime, Thomas.
Josie and Thomas playing inside the company.
Yeah!!!
Practicing his plumber-pant-style.

Daddy KTV-ing. (That's karaoke for those of you not exposed to the KTV world of Taiwan.)
Jevin getting in on the action.
Actually, Josie was up there too... I didn't get any shots though. She even did her dance move where she goes backwards into a crab pose. Everyone was like, "Ooooohhhhh." It was pretty cool.

Lesson Learned on the Spaghetti front

Above: Jevin at the beginning of dinner.
Below: Jevin eating his pears for dessert.
Can you spot the difference?
And the difference would be why he has no clothes on.
The lesson was learned a couple months ago when he stained some clothes...
Now having learned from Jevin, I took no chances with Josie.
She's like, "Take my picture! Take my picture!" and then she insisted on posing like a flower.

Special Hats

That would be broccoli in her teeth. Yes, it disgusts me that my children like broccoli. But back to the point of the picture. So Josie saw the pomello that daddy brought home. She asked for that for dessert yesterday. As she was finishing up I started to peel it. She informed me that I should make it into a hat. I complied.
Then we put it on Jevin's head. He was not amused.
And he proceeded to attack it with his pieces of pear.

Night Market

Some Fridays Josie and I have the chance to go out to the market together. Her motivation is the cow eye jellies she likes. My motivation is watching her excitement playing games. Here is a ball rolling game.

Chatching up...

I went through my received files. I found a bunch of pictures Jason had transferred to me. Here we will play 'catch-up.'
Left over Kending pictures (end of June). It was so hot. Jason was feeding Jevin a sports drink one capful at a time.
The next four pictures were taken at Fridays. I believe the occasion was our anniversary.

This one was at Tiger City at a store that had a play area for the kids... so we just played.
Josie on her bed.... Wonder Woman and the Green Lantern in the background... Compliments of Tyler...
Jevin's impression of Davey Jones...
Our last trip to Shing Kong Mishikoshi...
We always check out Kuku just to see what products the foreign babies are on. Olivia still dominates most things. Dylan's still out there on bottle and binkies. But recently Jevin has made his appearance on pillows and soaps.

And much to our surprise, though there are no baby Josie pictures that ever made it, she did manage to make it on the sign below.

Jason in Discovery Magazine!!!

Jason is kinda famous.
Has two postings in the Discovery Magazine.
thats pretty neat.

Nothing really exciting going on here at the moment. Josie's English is improving by leaps and bounds and Jevin is doing very well. He, like Josie is learning Chinese as a first language and his English will get better later.
