That wind storm!

So there was a wind storm the other night.
I was watching TV upstairs while the kids watched TV downstairs.
Suddenly there was a huge BANG!
I ran downstairs to see if the kids had knocked over something.  They were fine.
I went outside and had found that the garbage cans and some wood had tipped over.
I accepted that that had been the noise and went back in.

Then, two days later, I was in the car... waiting... waiting... waiting for those kids to get their seat belts on... waiting... waiting... waiting as my eyes began to wander.  Something caught my eye on the lawn.  It was  a pine tree branch.  I thought that was kind of odd...

And then I looked at the roof...
It was camouflaged so we missed it...
So since Jason wasn't at home, I asked the neighbor to help us out.
He got up on the roof and sawed off all the smaller branches.
Then he cut up the big ones and took them home for his fireplace.
We really appreciate our neighbors!!!

Fruit of my Labour

 The pickled beets I made
The first pepper and a few cherry tomatoes
 The first bunch of carrots
Pickled carrots and onions

Not shown, the 20 jars of pickles, pickled beans, relish, mustard pickles, fridge full of potatoes, frozen beets, frozen beans... and sooooooooooooo much more...

ELMO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Right around Josie's birthday, Jason called into a radio station and won tickets to ELMO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
We got to choose July 31st as our day to go.  That was,of course, Josie's birthday.  Incidentally, the day was brought to us by the letter J and the number 8... Perfect!

The Rosthern Fair

The fair started with the parade.

MAD CANDY RUSH  - Poor Jevin mostly just sat and watched the parade.  Candy wasn't really on his mind.

Tricycle Bumper Cars... The object was the knock over or push out the opponents.  If you put your foot down, your out.  Sadly Jevin was knocked out first out of 6... and Josie put her foot down first as well.

Draven was a last minute entry.
